This fellow evidently has more credible scientific “chops” (until recently) than Big Al Gore, who has been conspicuously absent in media circles as of late. No way either of these clowns are going to play it loose and fast, let alone debate, real scientists with the real FACTS! These felows are too busy following the MONEY and, at least on Gore’s part, spewing CO2 fragments out of his private jet!

“Debate” is the last thing the AGW crowd wants. They believe any valid evidence calling into question their assumptions is ‘an attack’ by their evil enemies.

As is often said, “Follow the money”. Who will benefit from AB32 et al? Those are the ‘enemies’ of debate.

A really refreshing article great stuff. I am in almost disbelief to the recent news events surrounding Glieck. Its as if the media has decided that Gleick is as horrendous as Murdoch, when what the Murdoch corporation did was to sell more papers. Gleick did what he did, yes it was unethical but he did it for good reasons. . I think its sad that the real story has been so overshadowed by the fact that he lied to obtain the information.

The issue of climate change has been manipulated by political parties for years, to gain more following, used by local councils to justify increases in taxes for recycling and refuse collections. What Gleick has done has brought to the public’s attention the investors behind, think-tanks’ like Heartland. I understand that science and scientists have virtues to be rigorous and transparent but come on the look how much the story has been in the news! Hero or villain, call him what you will but he has the subject of Climate change placed back in the public domain.

Its great to find an article like this, the whole story echoes an article I wrote before Gleick hit the headlines:
