Look people I'm not about downing one cadidate to promote the other. I'd rather just state Spitzer has his challenges as do us all. WE should focus on Deborah Pauly's sound fundamentals and core valves. These are the fundamentals that matter most. She's strong when the situation calls for it and leads by example. It's simple really. Which candidate gives more life? It's Deborah Pauly hands down in my opinion.

Mr. Greenhut, you indicate that you are a big fan of Chris Norby. Duly noted.

But in that analysis, how come you are not punishing Norby for voting, while a Fullerton City Councilmember for 3% at 50 also? The Fullerton Council was the 12th city in Orange County to pass 3% at 50 on January 15, 2002. Nine more cities in Orange County passed it after Fullerton did. In fact, if there was such an outcry from you or others when the Board of Supervisors passed it on December 4, 2001, then why would Norby have voted for it only two months later?

Your standard against Todd Spitzer is nothing more than a personal vendetta and we know it.

The facts are clear: Spitzer did not do anything out of the ordinary with that vote. Every city in Orange County adopted it.

Spitzer is the only candidate with a clear plan to fix the pension crisis and he has made that fix a cornerstone of his campaign.

Go back and check the record while you were at the OC Register and see, prior to 2001 did you or the editorial board ever rail against 3% at 50? You did not. No one did; but you are all good at blame now.

Seems like your lack of attention is what is making you look for scapegoats now.

Norby also endorsed Mike Carona, even though I implored him not too.

It is OK not to endorse anyone, but upon further review Pauly is on the record as standing against union corruption. Spitzer? He is a union whore.

Focus on a candidates VOTING record and nothing else - Spitzers a dirty dog and his past record shows that - This is why Deborah Pauly is running against him....Todd is a lawyer so what do we expect?

Seriously look at Deborah Pauly for OC Supervisor, her background and voting record prove she is the true fiscally responsible choice!

Gee, why did I quit the Republican Party? I have no where to go!

They are whores as big as dems, just different special interests paying their tab-go Independent like so many have the last decade.

There are MORE Independents in CA than either dems or repgs. We ARE the biggest political party in this state.

Spitzer is no better or no worse than all the rest of them.

Two current OC supervisors (Bates and Campbell) touted as fiscal conservative republicans served in the State Assembly in 1999 and BOTH voted for SB400 which opened the floodgates for the 3%@50 pensions.

So as much as I dislike Spitzer it's not fair just to finger him. They are ALL in on it. Every single one of them. Your whole system is crooked.

At least down in Mexico corruption is out in the open for everyone to see. Here in America it's all done on the QT behind closed doors.

Who else: Why should we let it go? I still live in Orange County, so I'm paying for Spitzer's sycophancy to the government-employee unions when he was a supervisor. Am I supposed to say, "Thank you, sir, may I have another?"

No. Spitzer has been tried and found wanting. He should stay in the private sector and earn a living to pay for the massive pension spiking he imposed on us when he was in office.

Chuck Devore created this ad before he dropped out of the OC Board of Supervisor's race and moved his family to Austin, Texas.

When Villa Park Councilwoman Deborah Pauly entered the race, Assemblyman Devore wrote, ""Deborah Pauly has the courage to fight for taxpayers as a member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, even in the face of pressure from powerful special interests."
