You might as well . You had the Senate bottled up for the first two years and now set your sites on union wokerrs INSTEAD of creating jobs as you sold to the voters to get elected . As for the doctors they still have doctor patient privacy laws and I’m sure you will look into having that law changed so you could monitor doctors . Much easier than watching safety standards at an oil well A move that cost about 20 trillion dollars and massive amounts of dead sea creatures and perhaps a generation of fishermen their livelihood ..Priorities right ???

FF’s have turned a blue-collar semi-skiled labor job that requires a GED education into a racket to financially rape the taxpayers for personal gain while masquerading as heroes. The fact that the average one makes more than a licensed medical doctor with 10 years of higher education is enough to make me puke. Especially considering 90% of their time is spent grocery shopping, working out at the gym, watching TV, playing cards, sleeping or hanging out by the barbee.

It is one thing to oppose paying them wages and benefits that you might consider exorbitant. But you’ve gone way beyond that; over the edge, actually.

There is a wall on the State Capitol grounds that has a list of the hundreds of California firefighters killed in the line of duty. Perhaps you’d like to tell their widows, widowers or children that all they did was “stand a safe distance from the fire and spray water on it.”

I can’t believe you are the same person with whom I’ve agreed on some topics on this blog. Either there is something personal going on when it comes to firefighters, or you seriously need help.

No FF has ever risked his life for me. You’re full of it. All they do is steal my tax dollars and paint themselves as heroes as justification. They make more than licensed medical doctors and retire earlier, stevefromsacto. If you think that’s justified you are totally detached from reality.

BS. The ones who run into burning building to save occupants are generally neighbors and civilians. The FF’s stand a safe distance from the fire and spray water on it. You could train a damn rhesus monkey to do that.

I know, rex. It’s hard to top that. I can’t think of a bigger mockery of the American system than for some lowly educated semi-skilled grunt hose puller whose dad got him a job on the FD getting paid more than a licensed medical doctor with 10 years or more of higher education. I would be willing to wager that the average OC firefighter sees maybe 5 structure fires a year. And by the time they arrive most are fully engulfed. All they do is stand around and spray water on it from a distance. 90% of the job is watching tube, grocery shopping, gym time, sleep time. In all my years in OC I have never heard of one OC FF killed in the line of duty. Minimum wage roofers or tree pruners have much more dangerous jobs.

Beels, I have a friend who is a doctor at Kaiser, one of the BEST employers in the nation, she said the average doc makes around $140K per year plus average private sector benefits.

She said the highest paid docs at Kaiser were the specialists, cardiac and neurosurgeons, at $400K.

Average CA firewhiner earns more than the average doc in total comp, and the highest paid firewhiner earns MORE than the highest paid specialist doctor-and this is at one of the best employers.

This nonsense can’t continue. There will come a day when there will be a huge showdown between ordinary taxpayers and the public trough feeders. It’s going to get ugly too. Imagine an avg. FF making nearly $10k a month? Total fing joke. And to add insult to injury the HS educated goofballs retire @ 55 with a guaranteed $100k plus pension. Fing joke.
