Steve if you’re so gung-ho on “equity” then give up half what you earn to be distributed to others paychecks. The “public” (i.e. taxpayers and customers) are tapped out!

You said I’d be in “heavan” (might want to use spellcheck) if the polls found support for public employees making more than comparable workers in the private sector (which by the way, is not true).

That’s BS. Bob. I’d be in heaven if the public supported ALL workers, from the Wal-Mart greeter to the DMV clerk, making decent salaries with good benefits.

I guess you think that anyone who believes in fairness and equity has to belong to the “gummit.” Sad.

Well, this ruling that Bob posted will take lots of heat off the CA republicans and protect them against the likes of the political backlash they suffered in Feb 2009 when 6 of the CA republican state legislators had to vote “yes” to pass the big tax hikes. This will protect the state republicans from ever finding themselves in that awkward and precarious political situation again. Now all of them can vote against higher taxes (to no avail)and claim that they did everything to stop them. They lost a significant number of contributors and constituents after passing the Feb 2009 tax increases and could not afford to sustain another loss like that in the future. So better to give up a few seats and keep what loyalty remains for the Party.
