Talking with a colleague today, he asked, "What does that mean for a meaningful Western Climate Initiative? Nothing, but California continues to look more vain, trying to one-up Canadian provinces now."

When the last state to have any skin in the WCI game reverses its stance on climate change legislation by a common sense governor, it’s got to make people think that we have no real partners here in California, and instead, using only our egos, in this economic suicide pact called AB 32.

Perhaps someone will stick around to blow out the candles (now that light bulbs are illegal) when the legislature and the ARB get done with this once-remarkable state.
