Want a REAL prediction for the future? Check out this blog from yesterday's LA Rally with President Obama:

"Now Antonio Villaraigosa introduces John Perez. If there's a more potent symbol of a changing nation than 40,000 young people cheering on a Latino mayor introduce a gay Latino Speaker of the House at a rally for our first African-American president on behalf of a stellar progressive female Senator who happens to be Caucasian, all under the banner of "MOVING AMERICA FORWARD", I can't think of one. Republicans may or may not make big gains this election. But unless there's a drastic realignment, their gooses are simply cooked long-term. Demography is destiny; Millennials will only become a bigger and bigger share of the electorate. This crowd is an image of the future; Tea Party crowds are an image of a dying past."

I agree. Thanks for the great article, John.

The race between Brown and Whitman is a true nose-holder. It appears Brown will win, and this is for the best, since the Ca financial mess will blow up faster with Brown as governor, and unless/until CA is forced to admit bankruptcy, the politicians will keep kicking the can into next year.

While I don't smoke the weed, I voted yes on Prop 19 for the very reason that a$$ clowns like Eric Holder do not respect the U.S. Constitution (in particular, States' rights). Alcohol prohibition required an Amendment to the Constitution. We're not talking about some BS like "transporting over state lines"; we're talking about someone growing a stupid plant in their yard. But, if you successfully demonize something, the feds can do what they want. Unfortunately (IMO), looks like it will fail. I hope those voting No can look themselves in the mirror every time another innocent victim dies at the hands of the Mexican Drug cartels, who are financed by our drug laws.

I'm not sure what to make of Prop 23, which also appears to be going down to defeat. Sort of like having Brown as Governor. Things have to get worse before they can get better. AB 32 may or may not wreak the economic havoc as advertised, but either way, those voting "no" will get what they wanted.
