"Boardroom Republicanism."

That's what former Orange County Republican Chairman Tom Fuentes called it at the March 20 CalWatchDog/PRI conference in Newport Beach. It means the party is totally dominated by rich Country Club Rockefeller Republicans, including those you listed, as well as Schwarzenegger, Bloomberg, the Bushes, the Rockefellers, McCain and others.

Tom McClintock, Ron Paul and other real conservative Republicans have a place -- as water boys.

The Boardroom Republicans understand they need to appear conservative in the primaries to win. But later, the Boardroom Republicans just ignore the conservatives. But you know what? It always works. Or, it has until now. Maybe the Tea Party movement, if it isn't co-opted, is a sign of real change. Maybe not.

There's an old saying: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me a thousand times, I'm a conservative Republican.
