I think O’Reilly’s constant hit pieces on SF have made me oversensitive :/

And, since we’re on the same page now, I agree with you that all the boycott threats are worthless. A bunch of political posturing that ultimately won’t be followed through to the point of making any difference.

Parry, I consider myself a journalist. But aside from serious reporting, which I do on the main section of CalWatchDog.com, on the blog I also sometimes do spoofs and larks. This blog section allows that. For our forebears in that mode, I suggest you read H.L. Mencken, Mike Royko and G.K. Chesterton, all of whom combined serious journalism with, in more jocund moments, whimsy.

As Mencken put it, “One horse laugh is worth a thousand syllogisms.”
