However, I do think it’s fair to say that California does a much worse job of employing workers than the U.S. as a whole. But maybe that’s not a problem since we also spend a lot more per person on welfare and entitlement programs than nearly any other state.

Yeah, we got a mess, and I have no idea how we will ever clean it up.
